Living in East Central Ogden, Azenett has demonstrated a deep commitment and involvement to Ogden City. She has served on the boards of Futures through Training, DaVinci Academy and is currently the president for Latinos United Promoting Education and Civic Participation. Azenett is a Psychology Professor at Weber State University and the Director of the Research Extension for the Center for Community Engaged Learning. Her research has focused on prejudice reduction strategies, more specifically on improving inter-group relations. She was also involved in the Ogden United Promise Neighborhood initiative led by United Way of Northern Utah, and is aware of many of the needs that Ogden has in order to thrive. Azenett addresses her audience with respect, civility, and a listening ear. She brings her passion for her community and shared values to work in a cooperative manner.
