Event Dates & Times
The Opening Ceremony starts at 4:30 p.m. on the Saturday after Thanksgiving with a Santa Run. At 5:30 p.m. the Washington Boulevard lights up during the Holiday Electric Light Parade. Following the parade, make your way over to the amphitheater for a short ceremony at approximately 6:30 p.m. A firework show and the lights are turned on immediately after the opening ceremony.
Lights are then turned on 7 days a week from 5 p.m. to Midnight through January 1st. During and immediately following very wet storms, water gets into the electrical boxes and may cause some of the lights to not work. Crews work diligently to dry the electrical connections and get the lights turned back on.
Santa will be greeting children in his castle Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. starting the first Saturday after Thanksgiving until December 23rd. He is not in his castle on Sunday. You can have your picture taken with Santa for $5. All proceeds benefit the Christmas Village.

Christmas Village Express
Take a ride aboard the "Christmas Village Express" Miniature Train. This beautiful reproduction of a classic train was built locally by South Weber Model Railroad Club. It features 5 cars, and a caboose, all driven by a gas-powered locomotive that glides along a real train track!
The ride is free, but a donation to help with operating costs are accepted.
The train runs Monday through Friday from 6 - 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 5 - 9 p.m. Starting the Saturday after Thanksgiving through December 23rd, excluding Sundays.
Take a tour of downtown Ogden on the Jupiter Train. You can catch this train on 25th Street in front of the Amphitheater. The train runs Friday, Saturday and Monday from 6 to 9 p.m., weather permitting.
Christmas Store & Concessions
Visit "Santa's Store" to help raise funds for Christmas Village! Located at the north entrance to Christmas Village, Santa's Store features gifts, souvenirs and curios to help commemorate and share the Christmas Village spirit. Proceeds from the sale of Christmas Village toys, stuffed animals, sweatshirts, posters, and Christmas cards will help fund new lights and displays for years to come.
Other Concession Options
The Breakfast Exchange Club has a concession stand next to Santa's Castle. They offer warm drinks and sweet snacks. All proceeds benefit the "Shoes for Tots" program.
The Amphitheater Concession is also open and has warm drinks, concession food and sweets. All proceeds benefit the Amphitheater.
